Truck Driver/Material Handler 2nd Shift

Truck Driver‑NL Warehouse
Scope / Mission
Responsible for moving trailers to and from the receiving and loading docks using the Northern Labs’ owned yard tractor.
Responsible for moving dropped tankers to and from the tanker unloading area.
Maintain an inventory of full and empty trailers in the trailer drop lot.
Responsible for pulling QA samples out of dropped trailers.
Assignment pickup and delivery of Northern Labs’ material to local vendors, and outside warehouses.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Unload trucks.
Load trucks.
Move materials to and from bin locations.
Access computer to enter or view inventory movements.
Perform physical counts of inventory.
Rotate stock as needed.
Adhere to established procedures for identifying/marking materials.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.
Marginal Job Duties
Maintain clean and orderly work area.
Change forklift batteries as required.
Exercise safe material handling techniques.
Notify supervisor of any mechanical issues or failures.
Education / Certifications / Qualifications / Experience
High School diploma.
Experience
Some warehouse experience is a plus.
Basic computer skills and math skills.
License or Certification Required
Commercial Driver’s License with A, B, C, H, N endorsements.
Hazmat Certification.
Forklift Certification.
Complete Driver Physical.
Physical Demands
Stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or touch; reach above shoulders; talk or hear up to 1/3 of the time.
Use foot(s) to operate machine 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
Sit 2/3 or more of the time.
Lift up to 50 pounds or exert force up to 1/3 of the time.
Transfer boxes/bags from one pallet to another, or from trailer to pallet.
Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).
Color vision: ability to identify and distinguish colors.
Peripheral vision: ability to observe an area while eyes are fixed on a point.
Depth perception: three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships.
Ability to adjust focus.
Tools / Equipment Used
Forklift 1/3 or more of the time.
Computer, scale, and drum handlers up to 1/3 of the time.
Work Environment / PPE Required
Work near moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions including cold, rain, ice, snow, and heat up to 2/3 of the time.
Loud noise.
Safety (steel‑toe) shoes required.
Safety glasses required.
Miscellaneous PPE as required.
