What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

Perform follow-up on outstanding insurance balances, obtaining payment confirmation or required documentation

Document all actions taken on accounts within the appropriate system to ensure a clear resolution process

Make outbound calls to insurance payers while maintaining professional communication

Analyze assigned accounts using various systems to maximize collection efforts

Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA compliance

What is Required (Qualifications):

High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum 0-2 years of experience in medical collections, accounts receivable, billing, or healthcare revenue cycle operations

Knowledge of medical collections processes, payer reimbursement policies, and insurance claim resolution

Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and collections software

Strong attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

Associate Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

Experience working with insurance follow-up and claim resolution in a healthcare setting

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to research and resolve outstanding claims
