Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Driver will support the local branch by transporting non‑hazardous and hazardous waste materials via multiple vehicle types including Roll‑Offs, Tankers, Box Vans, Air Movers, etc. The Driver also performs tasks under the direct guidance of a supervisor, including non‑emergency and emergency response activities involving confined space entry such as manhole, tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping, shoveling, high pressure washing, and other remedial activities.

Pay Range $27.00/hr – $31.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience).

Duties / Responsibilities

Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.

Adheres to and documents all transportation compliance requirements including inspection reports, mileage logs, trip reports, etc.

Predominately local driving, may require some out‑of‑town travel.

Loads and unloads their loads.

Operates light and heavy equipment including skid steers, forklifts, pressure washer (preferred). Provides administrative support to operations team.

Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) properly and adheres to all safety procedures.

Performs labor‑intensive activities in all weather conditions.

Works in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces, and at heights.

Operates light and heavy equipment (forklifts, aerial lifts, boom lifts, skid steers, excavators, pressure washers, pumps, and other company work vehicles).

Attends mandatory training to earn certifications and obtain information specific to responsibilities.

Ensures all proper paperwork is signed and submitted.

Works “on‑call” based on a rotating schedule for emergency response, may require out‑of‑town travel depending on service center and ongoing projects.

Complies with ongoing and random drug testing and physicals as required by the company and clients.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Abilities

Operation of multiple vehicle types such as Roll‑Offs, Tankers, Box Vans, Air Movers (preferred).

Safety‑oriented mindset with determination to follow all procedures and policies.

Hazmat transportation, including placarding and manifesting.

Must be able to get to/from the job site.

Demonstrates accountability and punctuality.

Education and Experience

High school Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

At least two years of CDL A driving experience.

CDL A license with no manual or air‑brake restrictions.

40‑hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.

Other Requirements

Must be able to pass a pre‑employment physical, drug screen, and alcohol testing.

Must pass a pre‑employment background screening.

Must successfully complete OSHA HAZWOPER 40‑hour and other mandatory training.

Ability to work a rotating shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Willingness to travel for extended periods, overnight, and on an on‑call basis.

Able to read, write, and understand English, and follow verbal and written instructions.

Must withstand exposure to dust (chemical and environmental), fumes (chemical and fluids), exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids.

Must perform physical labor including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects – can lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Must wear PPE.

Must work under adverse conditions (heat & cold).
