Production Technician - Thermal Barrier Coatings
Location:
Indianapolis, IN, United States.
Shift:
2nd shift (02:00 pm – 10:30 pm), Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities
Interpret and follow Product Manufacturing Instructions (PMIs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and production schedules to execute daily tasks with safety, efficiency, and quality compliance.
Support and participate in safety initiatives and policies as business needs arise.
Follow step‑by‑step instructions from senior operators via turnover reports, written job instructions, or verbal guidance, balancing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Perform batch chemistry calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and weight‑percentage conversions across various units of measure.
Operate and maintain large‑scale powder production equipment, including atomizers, spray dryers, power cabinets, blenders, screeners, forklifts, scissor lifts, cranes, and pallet jacks, ensuring safe operation in compliance with company procedures.
Execute minor to moderate machine adjustments and maintenance repairs using mechanical skill set.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to read, understand, and follow complex work instructions with accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong mathematical proficiency across all units of measure.
Experience operating plant equipment and industrial vehicles.
Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, reaching, hand and finger manipulation, occasional stooping, crouching, climbing, and lifting up to 44 lbs.
Proficiency in wearing and working with a full‑face or half‑face respirator.
Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn production software).
Level I (LGG9) Technician: 0–5 years experience in related manufacturing/industrial field, plus mechanical aptitude.
Level II (LGG10) Technician: minimum 5 years experience in related field, plus mechanical aptitude.
Level III (LGG11) Technician: minimum 10 years experience in related field, plus mechanical aptitude.
Seniority and Employment Seniority level: Entry level. Employment type: Full‑time. Job function: Management and Manufacturing.
