Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128‑bed, full‑service, acute‑care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state‑of‑the‑art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
Responsibilities
To evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties.
Develop and implement effective treatment plans and provide counseling to patients and their families.
Establish patient expectations and understanding goals of care.
Create accurate documentation and reporting, as well as delegation of duties, as appropriate to support personnel.
Maintain communication with staff and outside agencies as per state guidelines.
Refer patients to other specialists as appropriate.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
1 year of experience.
Licensed in the State of New Jersey as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
Certification by the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
2 years of experience.
Experience with Electronic Health Records is a plus.
