REQ-0000117822**Job Description**$3,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible full-time and part-time new employees joining UW MedicineHarborview – Maintenance has an outstanding opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic 2.WORK SCHEDULE100% FTE, onsiteMonday – Friday Day Shift7:00 am -3:55pmPRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPerform preventative maintenance and repairs on all types of mechanical equipment such as electrical drive motors, laundry, kitchen, and air-conditioning equipment; change oil, grease, change or clean filters, drive belts, sprockets, shafts, and bearings to ensure proper operationPerform maintenance, operation, and repair of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems of buildings and utility distributionOperate hand and power tools in a skilled manner; fabricate material and equipment in workshopsRepair windows, doors, screens, floors, floor coverings, and painted surfaces; install, maintain, and repair electrical connections, switches, circuits, electrical equipment, thermostats, and valvesMay perform minor maintenance on automobiles and equipment, such as oil change, lubrication, fix flats, repair lights, and fan beltDevelop preliminary cost estimates for installations and repairs. Drive service truck as required, load and unload materials and suppliesMay lead or instruct helpers or other maintenance workers as required.
