Assistant Teaching Professor/Associate Teaching Professor
Position Summary: The Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering (CBE) at Rutgers University invites applications for a non‑tenure track teaching faculty position focused on biomanufacturing and pharmaceutical engineering. Responsibilities: Teach graduate and undergraduate chemical engineering courses, including new courses in biomanufacturing and pharmaceutical engineering. Develop and expand the CBE experiential education program by increasing cooperative education, internship, and industry‑linked project opportunities. Use evidence‑based, student‑centered teaching practices and incorporate industry‑relevant content to help students build the knowledge and skills needed for professional success. Mentor students, collaborate on educational grants, and participate in service, recruitment, and outreach activities as departmental priorities demand. Qualifications: Applicants should hold a PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline and have professional experience in biomanufacturing or the pharmaceutical industry. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a strong commitment to teaching, and a dedication to mentoring a diverse population of undergraduate and graduate students are essential.
