Responsibilities Our Charlotte Distribution Center is seeking a results-driven Senior Manager, Inventory Control to oversee inventory accuracy, merchandise flow, and team performance. This role is responsible for optimizing inventory management processes, leading a team, and driving cost-saving initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem-solver, and leader who can ensure compliance with company policies while fostering continuous improvement in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Own and drive inventory accuracy and integrity across the distribution center, accountable for best-in-class inventory KPIs, governance, and audit rigor

Lead and develop inventory control leaders, analysts, and hourly associates across inventory, quality assurance, and problem-solving functions

Oversee cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, and root cause analysis, ensuring sustainable corrective and preventive actions

Apply strong analytical curiosity to uncover the why behind defects, translating data insights into measurable operational improvements

Partner with Operations, Quality, IT, and Finance to identify defect injection points, challenge existing processes, and implement scalable solutions

Leverage data analytics, process mapping, and WMS alignment to improve data integrity and accuracy at every inventory touchpoint

Design and execute proactive strategies to reduce shrink, prevent errors, and strengthen inventory controls

Implement lean inventory management practices to eliminate waste, improve efficiency, and support strategic inventory initiatives

Recruit, coach, and mentor teams while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement

Optimize staffing and productivity to meet business needs while sustaining high operational standards

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; and seven to ten years of inventory control or distribution center experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Previous management experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment, and with quality assurance processes

Proven ability to influence peers or stakeholders, with varying levels of seniority and within different organizations

Knowledge of supply chain management principles and familiarity with SOX compliance and inventory control systems

Proficiency with inventory management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Excel to track and improve inventory accuracy

Strong understanding of inventory control processes, cycle counting, and root cause analysis; managing inventory audits and reconciling discrepancies

Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams

Ability to develop and implement process improvements for accuracy and efficiency

Flexibility to work fluctuating shifts in a fast-paced distribution environment
