Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience or 9 years of experience with a HS Diploma. Strong background in AWS cloud engineering and development, including experience with services such as: EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SNS, SQS, Glue, EKS/ECS Proficient in scripting and programming languages: Python, Ansible, Bash Experience with AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform. Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience communicating with business users and stakeholders. Must be a US Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance. Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting or integrating file transfer and MQ tools (e.g., IBM MQ, Connect:Direct). Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Agile delivery teams (e.g., Scrum, SAFe). Understanding compliance and security best practices in federal financial cloud environments. Peraton is seeking an AWS Cloud Migration Engineer to be a part of a team supporting a federal financial customer. The successful candidate will help migrate critical customer data flows in a secure, agile, and innovative AWS environment. Peraton serves as a valued partner to essential government agencies across the intelligence, space, cyber, defense, civilian, health, and state and local markets. Every day, our employees do the can’t be done, solving the most daunting challenges facing our customers. This position is Hybrid, required to work onsite some days, and be willing to travel as required. What will you do: Migrate and maintain large complex data flows to modern cloud environments, specifically leveraging AWS cloud technologies Support and enhance COTS products providing file transfer and MQ services (e.g., IBM MQ, Connect:Direct), integrating them into modern AWS architecture. Write clean, maintainable infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and cloud service logic using tools such such as Python, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation or CDK. Develop and support infrastructure using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles. Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and documentation of AWS environments and deployed solutions. Coordinate closely with stakeholders across teams to manage integration and interface requirements, ensuring clear communication and alignment with overall business objectives.
