What We're Looking For
Education:
2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.
Experience:
Minimum of one year of experience in sonography.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
(required): NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS within 6 months of hire.
ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification (within 6 months of hire).
Prior acute care experience preferred.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
What You'll Do The Sonographer I Acute assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic scans. The sonographer is responsible for inpatient, outpatient, the emergency department and the operating room procedures including biopsies, drainages, paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
