Currently, the agency serves over 7,000 children with special needs in schools, Head Start, and Early Intervention programs throughout Detroit and Southeast Michigan. Services provided include speech language pathology, occupational and physical therapies, social work, psychological services and special education consulting.
Job Description
We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team! You will evaluate and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Responsibilities: Develop therapy and treatment plans for speech disorders Implement standardized tests for accurate diagnosis of communication disorders Establish treatment goals and milestones with students Document and store treatment plans and progress reports and IEP documents Update patient progress to relevant parties *If you are a CFY, the Detroit Institute for Children will provide you with a SLP-CCC to supervise your CF. Qualifications
Qualifications: Previous experience in speech pathology or other related fields Familiarity with communication disorders Ability to build rapport with students Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must love working with Children with Special Needs Additional Information
