Expert GIS Administrator position at Quick Services LLC (QSL). Job Responsibilities
GIS Administration/Integration: develop, implement, and maintain an enterprise-wide GIS and geospatial databases, networks, and software tools and applications. Perform complex analysis, design and modification of GIS applications and databases; evaluate new GIS hardware and software. Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise-level geospatial databases contributing to the GIS architecture. Monitor and improve database performance and capacity; plan for future expansion requirements. Develop, administer, deploy, and maintain custom geospatial applications in support of intelligence organizations; create and modify .NET tools using traditional RDBMS, NoSQL data stores, Hadoop file stores, and SOLR indexes. Engage in high-level/intelligence systems architecture design and evaluation; discover, analyze, and exploit geospatial data and manage data within Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) compliant applications/databases. Maintain currency of appropriate certifications per DODD 8570.01. Qualifications and Experience
Eight years of progressive GIS server experience; highly proficient in administering and deploying open source and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) GIS server equipment in support of intelligence organizations. Strong scripting ability for automation and analysis using Python; knowledge of C# and Java. Experience with enterprise GIS architectures and geospatial data management; ability to work with static and dynamic streaming geospatial data. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to obtain and maintain currency of the appropriate level certification per DODD 8570.01. Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of general experience in targeting, intelligence systems architecture, and geospatial systems experience are highly desirable. Clearance and Location
