Job Description
Upon the order of a qualified physician, the Mammography Technologist will utilize equipment that produces ionizing radiation to obtain images for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey‑Seybold Clinic. The technologist will perform Mammography and DEXA studies, and use the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS system. Additional duties may be assigned based on training, experience, and credentials.

Responsibilities
Operate mammography equipment to produce diagnostic images.
Perform DEXA studies.
Enter study data into RIS and PACS.
Maintain quality assurance standards and accreditation requirements.
Assist in other technical or non‑technical duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or GED.
Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
Advanced education preferred: Associate’s in Applied Science – Radiology Technology.
Experience
Tech I: Minimum 1 year of Mammography and DEXA experience (preferred).
Tech II: Minimum 2 years of mammography experience or 1 year KSC experience in X‑ray and/or SCNB (preferred).
Licenses & Certifications
Mammo Tech I: ARRT (M) MRT‑General certificate; must attain ARRT(M) within one year. BLS certificate.
Mammo Tech II: ARRT (M) MRT‑General certificate; BLS certificate.
Preferred: AMC/ARRT(M).
Special Skills
Experience with Microsoft office applications.
Knowledge of mammography quality assurance and accreditation.
PACS and RIS experience.
Other
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred: bilingual.
