Role Description The ultrasound technician/sonographer position is a part-time or full-time, on-site role located in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, VA. The Sonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic medical sonography examinations in the areas of obstetrics and gynecology. Daily tasks include preparing patients for imaging, capturing high-quality images, maintaining imaging equipment, and collaborating with healthcare team members to accurately interpret sonograms. Ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the examination process is also essential.
Qualifications
Proficiency in obstetric and gynecological sonography
Certification with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in an OBGYN setting is a plus
Associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
