General Description Performs a variety of skilled tasks in the maintenance, repair and preparation of state building facilities and grounds; repairs, adjusts and installs a variety of complex equipment and fixtures using carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, refrigeration and other mechanical skills; performs preventive maintenance on building facilities; participates in new construction projects; performs warehouse duties including receiving and delivery of supplies for all departments; performs bi-annual physical inventory of all warehouse supplies. This is a physical position that includes lifting heavy objects and working in uncomfortable places and positions.

Essential Functions
Performs preventive maintenance on building facilities and grounds and assists other trades personnel on projects, including new construction projects.
Operates, repairs, adjusts, and installs a variety of complex equipment, vehicles, fixtures, and systems using carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, mechanical, and other trade skills; schedules outside vendors and contractors as needed.
Assists with the monitoring, assessment, and scheduling of all building and grounds maintenance needs.
Receives, maintains, and conducts inventory of building and grounds supplies and equipment.
Assists facility occupants with furniture arrangement and removal.
Directs the workflow of all trades assistants and projects.
Knowledge
Knowledge of safety and regulations.
Knowledge of agency policy and procedures.
Knowledge of light and heavy‑duty equipment.
Knowledge of basic math.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
Associate's Degree (or experience, see below)
Experience:
0‑2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Building and Grounds) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Building and Grounds Assistant
Education & Experience Substitution:
2‑4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Building and Grounds) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Building and Grounds Assistant
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None
Physical Working Conditions
Exposure to hazardous materials, bodily fluids, chemicals, body parts, bio‑hazards, potential explosives, and/or the elements.
Must be able to drive vehicles, and/or operate large complex cleaning and grounds maintenance equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to bend, lift, and twist.
Notes
FLSA: Non‑Exempt
For the health and protection of our residents, annual tuberculosis testing is required.
Employees of this facility will be expected to follow all rules and requirements established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regarding COVID‑19.
A background check, including the taking of fingerprints, will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant.
