Manufacturing Technician (Night Shift)
Georgia Pacific is hiring a Manufacturing Technician to work on the night shift at our Bowling Green, KY facility. This role supports our Dixie® paper plates and bowls production in the Logistics, Printing, Packaging, and Plate Forming Press departments. Pay & Shift Pay rate: $23.11 per hour plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential for the night shift (6:30 pm – 7:00 am). The position is a full-time night shift role with a 12‑hour schedule: 36 hours one week and 48 hours the following week, paid for 40 hours one week and 40 hours the following week. Responsibilities Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets. Monitor and enter data into computer control systems. Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production. Perform basic asset care duties, including routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area. Work as a team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals. Operate and/or work around mobile equipment. Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment. Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and pulling for up to 12 hours a day in a loud/noisy, industrial high‑volume environment. Occasionally lift boxes that weigh 60‑80 lbs to shoulder height. Work with changeovers and setting up equipment. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 6 months experience operating and maintaining machines in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment, or completion of a post‑high school program centered on manufacturing/industrial skills. Preferred Experience (What will put you ahead) Experience using SAP. Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment. Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, or electrical skills in an industrial environment. Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device.
