We're looking for full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Franklin Square, NY area. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.
Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles.
Perform undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks.
Complete state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount/mount/rotate/balance tires.

Qualifications
Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
Possess 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or a combination of education, training and experience demonstrating the ability to perform duties.
Possess an extensive toolbox of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs.
Preferred Qualifications
State inspection license(s).
ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).
Physical Requirements
Active position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, reaching, and repeated movements associated with vehicle maintenance and repair.
Regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
