The Corporate IS Department is seeking a dynamic and talented Associate Application Analyst-Health Information Management.
The Associate Application Analyst-Health Information Management supports the implementation of UHS Health Information Management (HIM) related applications in a multi-entity, 25 plus acute care hospital environment, including but not limited to Cerner ProFile, Cerner ProVision Document Imaging (CPDI), Clinical Reporting, and Remote Report Distribution (RRD), as well as 3M Health Data Management (HDM) & Computer Assisted Coding (CAC) modules and an automated forms solution (EDM). Participates in the resolution of maintenance or enhancement issues assigned by the UHS Customer Support Center. Works with HIM team members, Manager, and stakeholders to evaluate the design and determine modifications to existing applications that will effectively accomplish desired objectives. Provides technical support to UHS entities as needed. Coordinates work assignments given in order to meet deadlines and ensure continued progress toward assignment completion.
Key Responsibilities include:
Performs necessary training to learn the various vendors used within HIM
Completes Millennium Fundamentals and “Day in the Life” training classes.
Learns Cerner (Profile, CPDI, Clinical Reporting, Message Center, RRD, Kofax, etc…) end user and back end tools
Learns 3M (HDM & CAC) end user and back end tools
Learns Siemens EDM, Registration, & Reporting - end user and back end tools
Learns Standard Register – Forms On-Demand - end user and back end tools
Participates in Validation, Regression, Integration and system testing events
Functions as liaison and advocates to clinicians and end users ensuring the system meet necessary requirements.
Learns UHS FIPS Change Control and Integration activities process.
Researches and resolves Customer Support Center Tickets.
Participates in application upgrades.
Adheres to UHS Service Level and Change Management Policies.
Participates in system testing and documentation for all phases of the application development life cycle.
Performs Q/A on application functionality.
Participates in regular EDT Meetings, and development of communications to our end user community.
Qualifications Position Requirements:
Requires a college degree in a HIM, Information Systems, or Clinically (chemistry, biology, etc.) related field. No working experience is required; up to one year of experience would enhance the skills and abilities necessary to perform this job.
Ability to quickly orient, understand and apply system application implementation, enhancement, support methods and user clinical or business practices and workflows, concepts and terminology to support applications.
Ability to perform computer systems analysis and programming techniques and procedures, including: consulting with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications; design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing, coding, debugging, or modification of computer systems or programs based on and related to user design specifications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Maintains Service Excellence Principals.
