Walmart . This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of multiple facilities and will support low‑voltage systems such as security, fire alarm, CCTV, audio/video, and network cabling.
Base pay range $26.00/hr - $51.00/hr
Responsibilities
Set up, configure, and maintain low‑voltage systems according to project requirements and industry standards.
Terminate, label, and test cables, ensuring proper installation and reliability.
Perform regular maintenance checks, identify and resolve issues promptly, and restore systems to optimal condition.
Provide technical support and end‑user training on low‑voltage systems.
Ensure all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and safety guidelines.
Maintain accurate documentation of installations, maintenance, and repairs; generate performance reports and evaluate system upgrades.
Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project completion.
Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to understand needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and stay current with industry trends and technologies.
Model integrity and compliance with Walmart values and ethical standards.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
Knowledge of local electrical codes and standards.
Preferred: BICSI installer certification, CompTIA networking certifications (e.g., Network+), manufacturer‑specific certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Axis, Bosch), NICET fire alarm certification, OSHA 10/30 hour training, and technical training in low‑voltage systems.
