The Compounding Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by accurately measuring, mixing, and preparing raw materials to create high-quality compounded products. This position ensures that all compounding activities comply with safety standards, quality specifications, and production schedules. The operator will work closely with production teams to maintain equipment, monitor batch processes, and document all compounding activities thoroughly. Attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures are essential to guarantee product consistency and regulatory compliance. Ultimately, the Compounding Operator contributes to the efficient and safe production of materials that meet customer and company standards. Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in compounding or chemical processing. Basic understanding of safety regulations and good manufacturing practices (GMP). Ability to read and interpret batch records, formulas, and standard operating procedures. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with compounding equipment in the chemical, pharmaceutical, or plastics industries. Familiarity with computerized batch record systems and production software. Certification in OSHA safety standards or equivalent safety training. Basic mechanical skills for equipment troubleshooting and maintenance. Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed. Responsibilities

Accurately measure and mix raw materials according to specified formulations and batch records. Operate and maintain compounding equipment, ensuring it is clean, calibrated, and functioning properly. Monitor the compounding process to detect and resolve any issues that may affect product quality or safety. Maintain detailed and accurate production records, including batch logs and quality control documentation. Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on compounding machinery. Assist in inventory management by reporting material usage and shortages. Skills

The Compounding Operator uses their technical skills daily to accurately measure and mix materials, ensuring product consistency and quality. Attention to detail is critical when following complex formulations and batch records to prevent errors. Communication skills are important for coordinating with team members and reporting any issues promptly. Problem-solving abilities help the operator identify and resolve equipment or process challenges efficiently.
