Overview
We are seeking a Cyber Operations Readiness Assessment Network Engineer/Reviewer to join TekSynap, supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in Fort Belvoir, VA. TekSynap is a fast-growing high-tech company that emphasizes a comprehensive information management environment and the principle of applying technology to meet government needs. Responsibilities
Perform technical reviews of firewalls, routers, switches, and VoIP/VVoIP systems in accordance with STIGs and SRGs. Validate network segmentation, ACLs, and routing protocols for security compliance. Assess Zero Trust architecture components and ensure proper enforcement of least privilege and micro-segmentation. Analyze network logs and configurations to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations. Provide technical support to DTRA sites for STIG implementation, vulnerability remediation, and ATO package preparation. Develop comprehensive assessment reports and provide prioritized recommendations for remediation. Qualifications
Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility. Education: BS in IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience. Experience: 8–10 years in network engineering or cybersecurity. Required Certifications: DoD 8140/8570 IAT III (CASP+, CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent). Desired Certifications: Cisco CCNP, Palo Alto PCNSE, Juniper JNCIP, Zero Trust Architecture Certification. Location: Fort Belvoir, VA Type of environment: Office Work schedule: Day shift Monday – Friday; evenings/weekends may be required to meet program needs. Travel: Less than 10% Safety, health, and vaccination requirements may apply as per contract, law, or regulation. Work Environment and Security
