Overview
Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring an Administrative Associate for the Medical Telemetry Unit to work on an as‑needed basis.
Role The Administrative Associate is responsible for various administrative and operational tasks. This position provides clerical support, manages patient records, schedules appointments, and handles patient inquiries. The role involves collaborating with medical staff, management, and patients to ensure the delivery of high‑quality care. Provides administrative support to the unit or department assigned. Serves as first point of contact for patients, family members and visitors on the unit assigned requiring the application of excellent customer service skills.
Department Overview 3 North is a Medical Telemetry Unit located on the third floor of SAMC. This unit has 24 beds. The unit most often treats patients in need of medical telemetry, observation, cardiac monitoring and treatment for low‑risk chest pain, COPD, pneumonia, and congestive heart failure.
Education High School Grad or Equivalent
Experience Excellent customer service skills
