Overall Function The ideal candidate for the Financial Planning Associate is an individual who is pro‑active, independent, and well‑organized with the ability to interface well with all clients and colleagues. This individual will play a critical role in supporting our financial advisors and clients by developing comprehensive financial plans and conducting in-depth financial analysis to support strategic recommendations. This position requires a strong understanding of financial planning principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.
General Responsibilities
Collaborate with financial advisors to develop and implement customized financial analyses for clients
Establish a thorough understanding of clients' financial situations, including goal funding, cash flow, retirement planning, and estate planning
Gain proficiency in using both in‑house and industry‑standard financial analysis tools and software
Identify and implement necessary adjustments in financial analyses to achieve desired outcomes and ensure precision
Prepare accurate and comprehensive financial reports and presentations for client and prospect meetings
Complete case preparation, including generating and organizing standard documents for client meetings and reviews
Provide general administrative support to principals and the team as needed
Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities deemed appropriate by the principals of the firm
Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies
Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in wealth management and financial planning
Qualifications
State health and life licensed (or gain licensing within 60 days of employment)
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, both independently and on a team
Continue insurance education through schools, academies, licenses, registrations and designations
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability, with the capacity to excel in a fast‑paced environment
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and adept at navigating and interpreting large data sets
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and diplomacy, while adhering to regulatory and company compliance requirements
Advanced computer skills, demonstrating efficiency and speed in data entry and navigating through various software applications
Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts quickly and effectively
Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Honest and respectful demeanor, with a strong ethical foundation.
