Physician Assistant - Westover Hills - 10K Sign on Bonus HealthTexas Primary Care Doctors is seeking a Physician Assistant for the Westover Hills location. The PA will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, interpret lab results, and develop patient care plans under the direction of a licensed physician. Responsible for maintaining patient records, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and providing direct patient care.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

Obtain complete medical history and physical data; review patient records.

Interpret data and determine diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.

Perform complete physical exams, formulate diagnosis.

Order laboratory and diagnostic procedures.

Synthesize data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan.

Administer injections, immunizations, oral medications; prepare prescription orders.

Interview and advise patients on health prevention; recommend community resources.

Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions; provide education.

Assist physicians by recording progress notes, issuing orders, and transcribing.

Facilitate the HTMG Foot Care clinic and provide rotating Saturday clinic services.

Triage patient telephone calls; provide consultation.

Perform independent evaluations and treatment in emergencies.

Monitor and maintain continuity of care between physician visits.

Attend required meetings and participate in committees.

Engage in professional development and maintain affiliations.

Communicate clearly in line with HTMG Core Values.

Maintain policies, procedures, quality assurance, safety, and infection control.

Make other related work as required.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of healthcare law and code of ethics.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Working knowledge of clinical systems (electronic health records).

Ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals.

Assessment and diagnosis of medical conditions.

Provision of primary care and health maintenance.

Ordering and interpretation of laboratory tests and x‑rays.

In‑depth knowledge of medications and side effects.

Competency in minor medical procedures.

Patient education and counseling.

Familiarity with community health resources.

Specific managed care experience.

Education

Graduate of an accredited PA program, NCCPA certification, current license issued by the Texas State Medical Board.

Valid DEA license or ability to obtain one prior to employment.

Work Hours, Travel Requirements

Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; as needed for projects.

Travel to medical offices may be necessary for providing benefit education.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Office setting; use of computers, phones, printers, scanners.

Primarily sedentary; some lifting and standing required.

Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, adjust focus.
