About Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH): Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for over 70 years. The 295‑bed hospital with over 800 physicians, residents and allied health professionals offers advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment. Services include cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services — including robotic‑assistant surgery with the da Vinci® Surgical System, a weight‑loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women’s and children’s services. Manatee Memorial Hospital also offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs.
Position Summary The Charge Nurse assumes shift responsibility and accountability for planning and providing direct/indirect nursing care to patients, families, and appropriate others under the direct supervision of the Nursing Director for the unit. Coordinates multi‑disciplinary team members, directs and educates other nursing personnel to provide and facilitate optimal health care outcomes in accordance with Manatee Health policies and procedures, standards and philosophy. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum of one year acute care experience
Previous supervisory experience, preferred

Qualifications
Graduation from Accredited School of Nursing
ASN, required
BSN, preferred
Current RN licensure in Florida
Current BLS through American Heart Association
Current ACLS through American Heart Association
Current NIH Stroke Certification
