We are searching for a Registered Nurse (RN) in Inpatient Neurology at Texas Children’s Hospital. The nurse will work in a fast‑paced, highly technical critical care setting, providing compassionate care for children with neurological disorders and injuries. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating age‑appropriate care, incorporating family‑centered principles and cost‑effective practices in a technology‑rich environment. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Associate’s degree, or technical diploma in nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program; alternatively, an Associate’s degree in a related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for RN licensure or currently enrolled in a nursing bridge MSN program. Minimum 9 months of nursing experience. RN license issued by Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse License Compact. CPR – Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association. Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication, time and resource management, flexibility, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Responsibilities

Perform and document assessment of patient/family, including biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual, and environmental needs. Analyze situations, anticipate potential problems, and detect changes in patient status. Re‑prioritize and update plan of care based on new information and changes to the patient’s condition; communicate this information to other health care team members and document in the medical record. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and/or patient care conferences. Assist patients/family in implementing their role in the plan of care as appropriate. Assess patient family learning needs capabilities, preferences, and readiness to learn prior to teaching. Demonstrate positive and effective interpersonal skills when dealing with patients/families, visitors, peers, and other health care team members. Administer and document medications and treatments in a timely manner. Demonstrate willingness and ability to acquire new knowledge and utilize new skills to improve individual, team, and organizational performance. Participate in unit performance improvement initiatives. About Us
