About Dickinson Center, Inc. (DCI) Dickinson Center, Inc. (DCI) and its team of nearly 200 employees provide behavioral health services to individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. DCI also offers children’s preventive mental health services throughout rural northwestern Pennsylvania. Summary Various opportunities exist across our organization. Positions involve direct care, supervision, and support for adults and individuals with developmental disabilities in community, residential, or day-service settings. Our roles require collaboration with residents, families, and staff to promote independence and quality of life, while meeting regulatory requirements.

Current Opportunity Highlights

Certified Peer Specialist

— recovery-oriented services in home or community settings. Requires personal life experience with mental health recovery and use of personal transportation.

Behavioral Health Technician – Long Term Structured Residential Facility (LTSR)

— supports residents in Brookville, PA; hourly rate listed; DailyPay available; full-time.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Waiver/Ridgway

and

PRN DSP

— community residential programs serving adults with developmental disabilities; schedules vary; DailyPay available.

Employment Support Specialist

— full-time, paid benefits; supports clients in vocational settings; requires valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Adult Habilitation Center / Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist roles

— focused on recovery, community integration, and skill-building; various shifts and part-time options; DailyPay available.

Responsibilities & Duties The following responsibilities recur across roles where applicable: supervising and supporting residents/consumers; delivering direct care; crisis intervention when needed; documentation of behaviors and progress toward goals; promoting daily living, social, and communication skills; ensuring safety and well-being; collaborating with internal and external stakeholders; maintaining regulatory and program standards.

Qualifications & Certifications Education

High School diploma or GED; additional college credit in human services preferred; bachelor’s degree preferred for some roles.

Experience

Experience in behavioral health or related settings preferred; residential, corrections, hospital, crisis intervention, or forensic services experience may be considered dependent on role.

Certifications & Licenses

Valid driver’s license; CPR/First Aid and medication administration where applicable.

Certifications such as CPRP/CPSP where noted; some roles require pursuing certification within a specified timeframe.

Transportation & Travel Many roles require the use of personal vehicle and reliable transportation; some positions include travel within Pennsylvania as part of duties.
