Position Summary
The RN provides high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process, directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and infection control, and administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy. The RN also performs and fulfills all HICS responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed during emergency and/or disaster situations, knowing the hospital’s emergency codes and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
Responsibilities This role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per‑shift basis, and at the unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to whom appropriate care is delegated and for supporting the CNO to ensure high‑quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (preferred)
Recent acute‑care experience (preferred)
Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice in the state of practice (required)
AHA BLS; BLS at hire or within 5 working days before assuming patient care (2‑yr renewal)
ACLS/PALS at hire or within 60 days of hire/transfer (2‑yr renewal)
Additional Requirements Vaccination: Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If offered this position and required to be vaccinated, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an exemption prior to your start date. Exemptions require regular testing.
