The Physical Therapist organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and functional level, and teaches compensatory skills to alleviate temporary or permanent loss or incapacitation.
Qualifications / Job Requirements:
Possession of a B.S. degree in physical therapy and licensure or license eligibility in the State of New York.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients regarding the anticipated treatment plan, level of participation, and expected outcome.
Ability to relate to the public and medical staff as a member of the rehabilitation team.
