Our client, a well-established, growth-oriented general contractor in Ohio is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on multifamily construction projects. This role serves as the on-site leader and primary representative of the company, responsible for delivering projects that are safe, on schedule, within budget, and built to the highest quality standards.

The Superintendent partners closely with the Project Manager, forming a highly collaborative leadership team. While the Project Manager focuses on overall strategy and administration, the Superintendent drives execution—owning daily and short-term planning, coordination, and field leadership.

Responsibilities

Support development of project schedules, phasing plans, and site logistics

Participate in constructability reviews as needed

Assist with subcontractor bid packages, scopes of work, and procurement

Contribute to subcontractor selection and award process

Lead and coordinate all daily on-site construction activities

Direct and manage subcontractors to ensure productivity, safety, and quality

Drive schedule adherence and proactively resolve field conflicts

Oversee quality control efforts, including punch list execution

Monitor jobsite costs in partnership with the Project Manager

Maintain daily reports and collect subcontractor documentation

Lead foreman meetings and participate in owner/architect/contractor meetings

Ensure accurate project documentation, drawings, and as-builts are maintained

Manage inspections, permits, and full code compliance

Enforce all safety policies and ensure a secure jobsite at all times

Understand and execute responsibilities tied to owner contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risk throughout the build

Train, mentor, and support Field Engineers and Assistant Superintendents

Promote company standards, processes, and best practices across the site

Assist with RFQs, RFPs, and project interviews when needed

Support business development efforts by identifying future opportunities

Experience & Qualifications

Proven experience building multifamily housing projects

Strong leadership presence with hands‑on field management expertise

Ability to plan, prioritize, and problem‑solve in a fast‑paced construction environment

Excellent communication and coordination skills across trades and stakeholders

OSHA 10‑Hour Construction Certification

CPR & First Aid Certification
