Position Overview SkyBridge Aviation is seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to perform maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and installation of avionics, ASE, and electrical systems on UH-60A/L/M helicopters. This role requires an in-depth understanding of advanced electronic equipment, system diagnostics, and integration with other aircraft systems. This is a long‑term, contract‑to‑hire opportunity supporting government aviation programs.
Responsibilities
Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic aircraft components used in communication, navigation, ASE, and flight control systems.
Install and maintain avionics systems, including NAV/COM/PULSE, Auto Pilot, Audio Systems, TAWS, GPS, and RVSM.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of aviation safety practices and evolving technologies.
Remain familiar with related aircraft systems, such as hydraulic and flight controls, to support integrated troubleshooting.
Read and interpret maintenance manuals, repair manuals, blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
Utilize testing equipment and hand tools to perform precise installations and repairs.
Provide technical support to electrical, structural, and mechanical engineers, as well as customers.
Organize workload effectively to meet aircraft delivery schedules.
Accurately document maintenance actions, repairs, and system modifications in aircraft logs and records.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to lower‑level technicians during maintenance or modification projects.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or program management.
Requirements
Strong understanding of avionics, ASE, and electrical system components.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing advanced electronic equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
Familiarity with NAV/COM/PULSE, GPS, Auto Pilot, Audio Systems, TAWS, RVSM systems preferred.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced maintenance environment.
Must provide proof of United States citizenship and possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Must provide own tools on Day One.
