Master Vehicle Technicians

Temp to Perm P / h

0715-1545 Monday to Friday

As a Master Vehicle Technician, you will join an experienced workshop team, responsible for ensuring all vehicles are serviced and repaired to the highest standards. You will receive support and guidance from the supervisory team while working on a varied and interesting vehicle fleet. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of vehicles, including new models, electric vehicles (EVs), and premium-brand cars, alongside comprehensive manufacturer‑specific training.

Responsibilities Technical & Diagnostic Work

Conduct accurate mechanical and electrical diagnosis of complex and intermittent faults, using specialist diagnostic equipment and following structured diagnostic processes.

Perform all repair and diagnostic work to the required technical and safety standards.

Utilise technical resources and specialist support to achieve a first‑time fix wherever possible.

Validate repair work to ensure concerns are fully resolved.

Ensure all workshop equipment is maintained and meets necessary audit standards.

Communication & Team Support

Provide clear technical guidance and information to colleagues, the service team, and specialist support functions.

Liaise effectively with internal teams and, where applicable, clients to manage expectations and facilitate efficient repairs.

Support the development of the team by coaching apprentices, identifying skills gaps, and sharing knowledge through peer training.

Promote high standards of work and process adherence across the workshop team.

Administration & Quality

Complete all job cards, warranty documentation, and related paperwork accurately and in line with required standards.

Ensure all work complies with manufacturer warranty procedures and repair methods.

Uphold a professional manner in all customer‑facing and representative activities.

Skills and Experience

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role.

A relevant technical qualification City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent) is essential.

Full, clean UK Driving Licence.

Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills, particularly with modern vehicle systems.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.

A commitment to quality, with a proactive attitude towards supporting and developing junior team members.
