We are looking for a hands-on, field-savvy Recruiter who knows how to attract, evaluate, and retain top talent across both the trades and operations in a highly competitive market.
Position Summary This is not a passive recruiting role. You will own and build Beacon’s hiring engine from the ground up. Your mission is simple: keep our trucks filled and our office fully staffed with high-quality people by moving fast, building real relationships, and continuously improving our hiring systems.
You will manage the full recruiting lifecycle for:
Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC Technicians
CSRs, Dispatchers, Parts Runners, Inside Sales
Leadership & Management roles across Northern Virginia - from sourcing through 90-day retention.
Key Responsibilities
Own full-cycle recruiting for all field and office positions
Build and maintain steady pipelines for both technicians and operational roles
Source candidates through job boards, referrals, trade schools, community outreach, networking, and social recruiting
Conduct screens, interviews, and culture-fit assessments
Partner with leadership to forecast hiring needs and prevent open-seat gaps
Manage offers, pre-employment steps, and onboarding coordination
Track and report recruiting metrics including time-to-hire, filled seats, and retention
Launch and manage Beacon’s employee referral program
Build long-term relationships with trade schools, training programs, and community partners
Deliver a high-touch candidate experience from first contact through the first 90 days
What Success Looks Like First 90 Days
Fill multiple open field and office positions
Reduce average time-to-hire by at least 30%
Launch a referral campaign
Establish at least two trade school or workforce partnerships
Implement a clear tracking system for recruiting metrics
Qualifications
4–5+ years of recruiting experience
Proven success hiring skilled trades and operational / office roles
Comfortable speaking with technicians, CSRs, dispatchers, and managers — no corporate scripts
Highly organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Strong interviewing, communication, and relationship-building skills
