What We Offer Novant Health Business Development and Sales Financial Strategy team develops, evaluates, and implements pricing strategies and tactics for all markets, facilities, services, and payors. The team analyzes negotiations, maintains approximately $5 B annual operating revenue from commercial and government contracts, and provides financial leadership on new payment arrangements, risk models, and episodic contracts.
Remote Position
What You'll Do
Develop new pricing‑related consumer products and strategies
Conduct thorough analysis of internal and external factors surrounding payor negotiations and renewals, and ongoing proposal development and evaluation
Evaluate healthcare total cost of care risks and opportunities for populations
Predict downstream impact on Novant Health of changing utilization under risk arrangements
Develop internal episode initiatives including CMS and commercial episodes
Utilize internal data systems and external data to drive analyses
What We're Looking For
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Health Care Administration or related field (required); Graduate Degree (preferred).
Experience: Minimum five years of experience in healthcare analysis (required).
Additional Skills (required):
Excellent analytical skills, ability to manipulate large data sets from multiple systems using MS Office (Excel, Access).
Familiarity with current coding practices (CPT‑4, ICD‑10‑CM, DRGs) and Medicare reimbursement methodologies.
Knowledge of pricing, healthcare finance, managed care, provider incentives, and risk contracting.
Ability to distill data into concise recommendations and present findings logically; excellent communication skills with all management levels.
Basic accounting, financial or economic analytic skills.
Additional Skills (preferred):
Understanding of healthcare alternate payment models, value‑based care, and risk contracts (commercial and government).
Health insurance experience.
SQL, SAS/Webi, or other database management tool experience.
