We are known for practical, buildable engineering, strong coordination with construction teams, and getting projects through permitting efficiently.
We’re hiring a Civil Engineer with experience in grading, drainage, and foundation design who can also perform basic structural calculations for metal buildings and foundations. This role is ideal for an engineer who wants hands‑on design responsibility, steady project flow, and direct collaboration with builders — not endless redlines or siloed consulting work.
Position Overview You’ll be responsible for preparing civil site plans and foundation designs for commercial and residential projects across Arizona. This role blends civil engineering with practical structural support and plays a direct role in moving projects from concept through permit and construction.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare grading and drainage plans for commercial and residential projects
Design structural foundation plans for metal buildings and site-built structures
Perform basic structural calculations related to foundations and metal building systems
Evaluate sites and provide recommendations for development and constructability
Coordinate with project managers, architects, and internal teams
Ensure compliance with Arizona building codes and local jurisdiction requirements
Review engineering plans and construction documents
Provide technical support during permitting and construction
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Arizona (required)
5+ years of civil engineering experience
Strong experience with grading, drainage, and foundation design
Working knowledge of basic structural calculations for metal buildings and foundations
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software
Solid understanding of Arizona codes, grading, and drainage regulations
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills

Base salary range: $110,000–$150,000 (DOE)
