Talent Acquisition Specialist

that will play a vital role in supporting our business goals and overall vision.

This role will collaborate across all markets and will ideally be located within our Nashville, TN or Charlotte, NC markets.

Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a lead role in all talent acquisition efforts with a sense of innovation and adaptability to safeguard Oakworth’s unique culture and provide an excellent experience to all talent prospects and candidates. This role is an ambassador of our culture in all markets and will lean on the Core Values in all actions.

Key Roles/Responsibilities:

Oversee and execute on talent sourcing strategies for current & future needs – including sourcing strategies, internship program, etc.

Proactively develop and maintain talent pipeline by partnering with leaders and working with internal and external networks.

Owns Oakworth’s selection & hiring process – acting as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders, directing and supporting all phases of the interview and offer process to create a top-notch candidate experience.

Serve as a visible ambassador for Oakworth by actively engaging in the community, building strong professional networks, and consistently representing the company in a way that strengthens our reputation and brand.

Help maintain comprehensive and accurate talent acquisition data, including candidate information, metrics, sourcing effectiveness, etc.

Responsibility Details:

Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle across all levels, while offering a stellar experience to talent prospects and candidates. This could include (but not limited to) tasks such as:

Leading intake calls with leaders on current & future needs

Coordinating job postings

Overseeing talent assessments

Conducting reference interviews

Advising on offer process

Maintain an ongoing and proactive talent pipeline in support of future business needs. This will be done through various methods to include both active and passive talent.

Play a key role in the interview and selection process by conducting pre-screened interviews, coordinating follow up interviews, collecting scorecards and feedback, maintaining timely communication with candidates and hiring leaders, etc.

Partner & provide support to hiring leaders to support best practices in talent efforts.

Play a key role when expanding to new markets. Collaborate with Talent & Leadership Development to execute on needs within the New Market Playbook.

Collaborate with Communications & Marketing to drive awareness that is targeted to talent needs.

Play a key role in sustaining a successful internship program; Ensure that Oakworth is continuing to build brand awareness and a presence with targeted universities by building and maintaining relationships with university faculty, professors, and student organizations; by ensuring that we participated in events that support our talent needs.

Manage relationships with external recruiting partners, as needed.

Create, manage and maintain accurate information in candidate tracking, job postings, key performance indicator tracking, etc.

Stay up-to-date on trends related to attracting and retaining talent, as well as offer ideas and suggestions to improve current processes, strategies, and the overall experience.

Qualifications and Skills:

4+ years of full cycle recruiting experience is preferred

Financial Services experience is highly preferred

Proven success in focusing on talent quality and providing a stellar candidate experience

Demonstrates commitment to community engagement by participating in local organizations, events, and outreach activities

Proven capability to learn new technology systems (previous HRIS and ATS experience is highly preferred)

Strongly proficient in sourcing methods and tools or platforms (LinkedIn, Boolean searches)

Strong networking skills and proven ability to build strong relationships

Comfortable serving as a passionate brand ambassador internally & within our communities

Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize well

Proven ability to provide a top-notch level of service to internal and external clients

Strong communication skills – verbally, written, and listening

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook
