Senior Real Estate Accountant at EisnerAmper. The Real Estate group in EisnerAmper’s Outsourced Services provides back-office accounting services for real estate clients, using platforms such as Yardi, AppFolio and Intacct. The position reports to the Manager of Real Estate Accounting and is responsible for servicing real estate clients and managing multi-entity portfolios of properties, both commercial and/or residential. Make appropriate journal entries to record mortgage, payroll, utilities, management fees, property insurance and property taxes and other cash transactions Perform bank reconciliations (operating, security deposit, escrow accounts) Perform monthly financial review, accrual accounting and GL reclasses Perform reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts Perform in-depth review of the income statement Perform actual-to-budget variance analysis Process and calculate management fees and distributions Prepare monthly financial statement package for ownership including balance sheet, profit & loss, cash flows (if applicable), and bank reconciliations Prepare quarterly financial reporting to fulfill lender compliance requirements Act as liaison to external auditors by explaining journal entries and financial transactions, providing research data and information as requested, and answering questions to facilitate timely audits Submit wires, ACHs, and internal bank transfers Develop and upload budgets Maintain job costing schedules and prepare construction draw packages Maintain CAM and operation escalation schedules Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field 3+ years’ experience in real estate accounting managing multiple properties and/or entities, or 3+ years' in public accounting focused on real estate clients Knowledge of Sage Intacct, and/or Yardi Preferred/Desired Qualifications
Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field Experience with task management and workpaper systems (Blackline, Floqast) Experience working with Appfolio and/or Avid Exchange EisnerAmper is proud to be a merit-based employer.
