Corporate Accountant Reports To
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) The Opportunity
We are a leading consumer goods organization seeking a Corporate Accountant who functions as much more than a traditional numbers-driller. This is a high‑visibility role at our Fort Wayne headquarters, designed for a professional who acts as a Financial Business Partner across the entire enterprise. Key Responsibilities
Financial Advisory:
Serve as a dedicated resource for department heads, using business acumen to translate financial data into actionable strategies. Enterprise Analysis:
Conduct thorough financial analyses of business operations to identify efficiencies, risks, and growth opportunities. Strategic Support:
Assist the CFO in setting the strategic direction for the accounting department and the broader financial health of the organization. Executive Reporting & Visibility
Presentation of Findings:
Confidently present financial results and strategic recommendations directly to the Executive Leadership Team. Financial Storytelling:
Take ownership of accurate, timely financial reporting, ensuring that complex data is communicated clearly to senior stakeholders. Ownership:
Act as the primary point of contact for financial inquiries related to corporate performance and enterprise‑wide initiatives. Operational Excellence & Compliance
Financial Close:
Lead and support critical phases of the monthly and annual financial close processes. Risk Management:
Support and strengthen internal controls, risk management frameworks, and compliance efforts to protect the organization’s assets. Process Improvement:
Identify and implement enhancements to accounting workflows to increase speed and accuracy. The Ideal Candidate

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA is a plus). Experience:
5‑8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with a focus on corporate reporting and analysis. Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, specifically in a corporate or executive setting. Tech‑Savvy:
Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with large‑scale ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Why This Role?
