The starting salary will be determined with consideration given to both the candidate’s educational background and relevant work experience.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record per County policy.

This is a non‑exempt position working 37.5 hours weekly/1950 hours annually.

Essential Functions

Responds promptly to helpdesk requests, troubleshooting hardware and software issues via phone, remote access, or on‑site support.

Installs and updates operating systems and software applications.

Documents and maintains records following departmental policies utilizing helpdesk system and other tools.

Participates in on‑call rotation to address critical technical issues outside regular business hours.

Assists in maintaining network connectivity by running cables and supporting minor network upgrades as needed.

Unpacks and configures computers and associated peripherals.

Participates in setup and management of technology for scheduled Commissioner Meetings, including audiovisual equipment and streaming services.

Performs related work as assigned.

DESIRABLE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline is preferred.

Previous experience in a helpdesk or IT support role is beneficial but not required.
