The following is a list of specific duties which are considered the essential functions of this job. The list is not exhaustive, as all positions at BWay are dynamic. The employee who occupies this position is expected to assume any / all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in this list: Drive and operate forklifts to move materials throughout designated locations. Coordinate with departments to position materials in necessary areas. Move materials from and to materials center and shipping warehouse. Stack/unstack materials for storage and shipping. Present and remove materials from work areas. Serve trailers to provide materials for shipping and processing. Load and unload truck trailers. Place items onto the forklift. Ensure material is stored based on current and future needs. Work in a warehouse, construction site, or retail environment. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting if forklift is not working properly. Handle sending and receiving duties on the loading dock. Additional Responsibilities

Marking and scanning materials for inventory control. Communicate with forklift drivers and workers to adjust movements. Job Scope

Apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks. Work on assignments that are semi‑routine in nature but recognize the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. Show competence in tasks beyond entry level. Usually, the forklift driver will be assigned tasks for the day and then perform these tasks independently. Education and Experience Requirements

Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Familiar with the workings of a forklift. Understand the logistics of the facility and place items in the proper area. Communication skills are essential to help workflow and maintain safety. Valid driver’s license is required. Job hours may require the forklift driver to work late‑night or early‑morning shifts. Preferred: certified forklift driver. Must comply with quality, PPE requirements, and safety and understand the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures. Physical/Visual Demands and Work Environment

Performing repetitive or short‑cycle work: involves performing routine tasks repeatedly according to set procedures, sequences, or pace with little opportunity for diversion or interruption. Performing effectively under stress: involves coping with circumstances dangerous to the worker or others. Dealing with people: involves interpersonal relationships in job situations beyond receiving work instructions. Making judgments and decisions: involves solving problems, making evaluations, or reaching conclusions based on subjective or objective criteria. Strength: controls hand‑arm and foot‑leg machinery. Visual acuity: near acuity at 20 inches or less, far acuity at 20 feet or more, depth perception, accommodation, field of vision. Ability to lift heavy items. Climb under and on top of machinery, trucks, storage racks, etc. Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions

This job is sometimes carried out outdoors, subjecting the driver to unpleasant weather conditions. Noise intensity level: (4 Loud): can manufacturing department; large earth‑moving equipment; heavy traffic. Proximity to moving mechanical parts: exposure to possible bodily injury from moving mechanical parts of equipment, tolls, or machinery. Risk of collision: potential to crash into machinery, personal, stacks of product, or other forklifts. Exposure to weather: exposure to outside atmospheric conditions. Pay Range: The payrate is $22.03/hour. About Us
