Responsibilities
Assists with terminal cleaning of the operating room, puts equipment, supplies, and instruments away as required, and assists in prepping the room for the next patient.
Prepares and sterilizes supplies and equipment used in surgical procedures, reviews and replaces supplies in the surgical case following a procedure, and discards expired medications per protocol.
Performs other duties as assigned. Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures.
Prepares solutions and medications, labels them properly, and reports amounts used for charting. Prepares back table and mayo stand, anticipating the needs of the surgeon using the surgeon’s preference card.
Provides supplies or equipment upon request for the surgeon, nurses, and/or anesthesiologist.
Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: High School Grad or Equiv (Required), Technical/Vocational School (Required); Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, State Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Technician in Surgery - Certified (NTSC) - EV Accredited Issuing Body
Pay Range $26.89 - $50.01
