SouthState Bank invites candidates for the Universal Banker I position located at 2707 E. Bromley Ln., Brighton, Colorado. This full‑time role combines teller and financial services representative (FSR) responsibilities to deliver exceptional customer service in a branch setting.
Summary / Objectives
The Universal Banker serves as the single point of contact for customers, handling transactions, account management, and relationship building to contribute to the bank’s financial growth.
Essential Functions
Processes savings, checking, and loan transactions accurately and efficiently.
Provides self‑service options, vault and safe deposit access, and ATM support.
Opens new deposit accounts and manages stop payments, wires, and other maintenance services.
Builds customer relationships, performs referrals, and expands cross‑sell opportunities.
Adheres to banking regulations, branch security, audit procedures, and data integrity.
Mentors and assists in training new tellers.
Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of teller or cash handling experience and six months of customer relationship building or sales experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of teller and FSR job functions.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proficient computer skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Previous banking experience preferred.

Physical Demands
Lift up to 50 lbs and stand or sit for long periods.

Work Environment
This position is located in an open lobby area with an individual workstation inside a climate‑controlled facility. Break rooms and rest areas are available during scheduled breaks.
Travel
Travel may be required for meetings or training.
Compensation
Annual salary range: $37,579 – $56,369, based on qualifications and experience.
