Job Description The Academic Advising Center (AAC) is accepting applications for two residential academic advisor positions (Assistant In with potential promotion to Associate In). The anticipated start date is November 15th, 2025. This is a renewable 12‑month, non‑tenure track appointment.
Responsibilities
Advise undergraduate students in CLAS on academic requirements and policies, including assistance with major selection
Support students’ development and accomplishment of academic and career goals
Present academic workshops and participate in AAC programs and initiatives
Assist first‑year and transfer students in UF’s summer orientation programs
Serve as liaison to other college departments, centers, and campus offices
Work with special populations such as academically at‑risk, undeclared, pre‑health, pre‑law, and transfer students
Occasionally participate in job‑related activities outside traditional work hours
Qualifications
Master’s degree in student personnel, higher education, educational technology, counseling, or a related field
Detail oriented with strong prioritization skills in a fast‑paced environment
Effective interpersonal skills and experience working with varied populations
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Appreciation for the value of a liberal arts and sciences education
Associate In candidates must also have at least five (5) years of relevant work experience
Preferred
Experience in academic advising
Scholarship, teaching, mentoring, and/or professional service contributions

Salary Assistant In: $54,000 – $59,000 (full benefits package) Associate In: $60,000 – $64,000 (full benefits package)
