Responsibilities Responsible for directing public health nursing services of multiple county health department clinics, or a single large county health department clinic. Duties include all duties of the county staff nurse or float nurse, planning, directing, and supervising the work of county staff nurses and medical aides; monitoring the overall performance and clinic operations of assigned clinics and initiating corrective action as indicated; preparing reports and other documentation for submission to an administrative superior. This is a non-state service (NS14) , time-limited position with the Mississippi State Department of Health.
What you'll need to be Successful Successful candidate should possess excellent multitasking, organizational, and communication skills. Employee must prioritize work to meet deadlines and be an effective team player. Employee must be knowledgeable of MSDH programs and use that knowledge effectively to assist clients and the public.
Preferred Qualifications Typically requires state licensure as a Registered Nurse and 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
