1/5/2026 TravelNurseSource is working with Magnet Medical to find a qualified OR RN in Louisville, Kentucky, 40202! As an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN), you will play a crucial role in the surgical team, providing direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities
Preoperative Preparation – assess patient histories, verify consent, prepare patients physically and emotionally. Intraoperative Nursing Care – assist with OR environment, sterile conditions, patient positioning, vital sign monitoring, anesthesia induction and maintenance. Surgical Assistance – anticipate surgeon needs, pass instruments, sutures, maintain sterile technique. Patient Advocacy – promote safety and comfort, monitor responses, anticipate complications, intervene as needed. Postoperative Care – transfer to PACU or recovery, monitor vitals, assess incisions, manage dressings and pain. Documentation – maintain accurate intraoperative event records, patient responses, medication administered, communicate with team. Continuing Education – stay current with surgical advances, participate in quality improvement and debriefings. Qualifications & Onboarding
RN license in Kentucky (or transferable). Background in Operating Room nursing or transferrable surgical experience. Strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail, adaptability to fast‑paced environment. Pre‑operative – Circulate and Scrub experience preferred. Magnet Medical
