Overview

Alan B. Miller Medical Center opening in Spring 2026! A neighborhood hospital with medical center excellence. The new state-of-the-art hospital will join UHS’ growing regional network of healthcare operations. The medical center will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop. Upon completion of the initial phase, the campus will include 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. The center will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services, and outpatient services in medical office buildings.

Responsibilities

Clinical Supervisor RN, ER (7a-7p)

— Provides shift-to-shift oversight for clinical practice, staffing, patient flow, safety, service, and utilization of resources for daily operations. Maintains the environment of care. Delivers care that is competent, compassionate, and efficient, appropriate to the age of the patients. Role models organizational values. Provides real-time feedback to staff to improve performance. Leads/participates in department process improvement to improve project outcomes. Facilitates employee engagement activities including professional/shared governance participation.

Qualifications

Education Requirements: Technical School/Years College/Associate’s degree in nursing required. Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Must be obtained within 2 years of hire date. Experience 1 year charge nurse experience preferred. Professional experience that demonstrates the ability to understand the clinical practice environment. 2 years clinical nursing experience preferred. Member of professional practice organization pertinent to area of practice preferred. Skills Effective interpersonal skills Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities Ability to conceptualize the patient flow process and its impact at the unit and hospital level Ability to implement and sustain process changes to improve department and organizational outcomes License / Certification Current RN license in Florida required Certification in specialty preferred Successful completion of unit specific certifications (BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, chemotherapy certification, etc.)
