Position Summary
The Marathon Detroit Michigan Refinery has an opening for a Equipment Mechanic - Motor Pool Technician.
Pay and Benefits
$43.77/hour with scheduled annual increases
Company sponsored annual bonus with target up of 6% of eligible wages
401K with company match up to 7%

Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operation of the 50 and 40 ton cranes (NCCCO Fixed and Mobile Certification required), operation of Marathon construction and maintenance equipment, operation of heavy equipment including a Fuel Truck (CDL Certification preferred), maintain some heavy equipment, light equipment and truck fleet and operation of snow removal equipment inside the refinery gates.
Education and Experience Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED is required.
A valid driver's license is required.
NCCCO Certification (Fixed and Mobile) OR an ASE certification (ASE G1 minimum).
Must be able to wear appropriate PPE and physically perform the job duties.
Must be able to perform job duties in an outdoor process facility under the direction of the Maintenance Department.
Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed.
Must have the ability to learn and obtain other certifications as Marathon requires.
Required to obtain NCCCO Certification within 9 months of start date if the candidate does not already have the certification.
Required to obtain CDL and Hazmat indorsement within 9 months of start date if the candidate does not already have the certification.
Required to obtain ASE G1 certification within 18 months of start date if the candidate does not already have the certification.
