We are seeking a PRN Wound Care Registered Nurse to join our team! New Clinical Career Ladder for Full Time Employees! *Grow your career with Vibra* – Participants in the Clinical Career Ladder are eligible for pay increases after successful completion of the Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert Level.

Located in Rapid City, South Dakota, the Rehabilitation and Critical Care Hospital of the Black Hills is equipped with 36 inpatient medical rehabilitation beds and 18 long‑term acute care beds. The hospital uniquely combines inpatient rehabilitation and long‑term care under one roof, offering comprehensive care solutions for patients who have suffered debilitating injuries, illnesses, surgeries, and chronic medical conditions.

Responsibilities Develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care for assigned patients with wound care needs and families. Provide education on wound, ostomy, and skin integrity issues for patients, families, and nursing staff. Deliver direct care along with delegation and supervision of all nursing care. Demonstrate clinical competence, manage patient care, improve quality of care, establish professional relationships, and develop clinical expertise per specialty.

Required Skills

Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.

Current BLS certification from a Vibra‑approved vendor required.

One (1) year of experience in wound care required.

Certification in Wound Care within 6 months of hire preferred.

Additional Qualifications

Certification in Wound Care within 6 months of hire preferred.

Previous experience working in wound care or demonstrated interest and aptitude in wound care skills.

Ability to communicate and collaborate with a variety of teams and individuals.

Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.

Ability to project a professional image.

Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

Ability to identify and implement components of the nursing process; strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.

Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.

Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions (Word processing, graphics, databases, spreadsheets, etc.).

Freedom from illegal use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
