Senior Software Engineer (OIPA) – FILI Technology
Fidelity Investments Life Insurance (FILI) Technology is looking for an experienced Senior / Principal Software Engineer with strong Oracle OIPA expertise to help modernize annuity contract generation and account opening systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and enhance Oracle Insurance Policy Administration (OIPA) solutions for Life & Annuity products
Support modernization, installation, and upgrade of OIPA (v10.2 → v11)
Develop and maintain OIPA components including configuration language, integrations, AS files, data intake and extraction patterns, OIPA extensions, policy screens, palette configuration, application security, and release management
Perform maintenance-level Java development (approx. 10%) for troubleshooting and fixes
Write and debug SQL queries and stored procedures in Oracle
Apply design patterns and UML for system design
Follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business users
Act as a team player and technical leader, contributing ideas and best practices
Required Skills & Experience (Must-Have)
4+ years of hands-on OIPA experience, specifically policy administration system development, OIPA configuration, integrations, and extensions
Java 1.8 – primarily for maintenance and troubleshooting
Oracle Database – basic SQL queries and debugging
Experience with JUnit, Jasmine, Karma, Protractor, Spring Tool Suite, Eclipse, UNIX, and Windows environments
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills
Nice-to-Have Skills
Docker and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
AWS Certification
