Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a Scrum Master for a contract opportunity with one of our largest clients located in St. Louis, MO!

Summary of Responsibilities
Coaches the Agile Team in self-management and helps the team focus on creating increments of value each sprint
Facilitates the removal of impediments to the team's progress
Ensures that all team events take place, are productive and kept within the timebox
Supports the team rules. The rules of an Agile Team are lightweight, but they are rules nonetheless, and the SM is responsible for reinforcing them. These may include the rules of Scrum, Built-In Quality practices from Extreme Programming (XP), Work in Process (WIP) limits from Kanban, and any other process rules the team has agreed.
Facilitates the team’s progress toward team goals: The SM is trained as a team facilitator and is continuously engaged in challenging the old norms of development to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow, and velocity.
The SM helps the team focus on creating increments of value each sprint and achieving daily and sprint goals in the context of the current Program Increment (PI) Objectives.
Facilitates events: Facilitates team events, including (where applicable) the Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective, ensures they are productive and kept within the timebox.
Teaches, Coaches, and Mentors Product Owner: The SM is expected to teach POs techniques, best practices, and different methods to mature Agile Product Delivery. This includes how to write stories, acceptance criteria, sizing stories, splitting stories, managing a backlog (and not a team), creating a roadmap, and collaborating with other product owners.
Enables organizational effectiveness: The SM works with other SMs and stakeholders to help the team contribute towards improving the overall development value stream.
Facilitates preparation and readiness for ART events. Assists the team in preparation for ART activities, including PI Planning, System Demos, and inspect and Adapt.
Required
7+ years experience performing in multiple agile roles.
SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or other leading agile certification is required.
5+ years of relevant Scrum Master or agile team experience are required.
2+ years of experience at large organizations or Fortune 500 companies preferred.
